The Counselor's Corner
About This Page
St. Christopher School is devoted to educating the whole child,
including their social and emotional growth. As such, counseling services
are offered to students and families, as well as consultation regarding
academic issues. Kent Campbell, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist,
serves as the School Counselor and is available for consultation with
parents, students, and teachers. This web space will be used to share
ideas about parenting, childhood development, and academic success
throughout the year. You can reach me at (408)757-7323 and find out more
at www.KentMFT.com.
Counseling Services
Parents, students and teachers often consider counseling when a
family changes, when grades suddenly fall, when feelings of worry get
in the way, when irritability becomes a problem, or when relationships
with family or friends don't work well. I am available for consultation
to discuss these issues or any others.
When I am going to work with a student, I prefer to meet with parents
separately first, then meet individually with a young person, and consult
with parents regularly about our counseling sessions over time. Counseling
will be most successful if parents are open to working closely with the
therapist and willing to attend sessions with their son or daughter.
Students or parents interested in consulting with me are welcome to
call to schedule an appointment. Parents and teachers may also complete
the Counseling Referral Form found on the school website and in the Parent
Handbook and return it to the school office. I am at St. Christopher
School on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays this year. Students can
meet with me during the school day or schedule appointments for after
school. I am also more than willing to recommend other exceptional
local therapists.
Best wishes this school year,
Kent Campbell
